When someone says 'classic 80's movie', one of the first films to pop into my head is The Breakfast Club. Maybe it's cliche, but I still enjoy that movie. Then I thought, 'Dude, I loved they way they dressed in the 80's'. So I decided to draw some inspiration from the film. I like to think this look carries traits from each character. From the jock Andrew Clark, I pulled the white trainers to fool you all into believing I could possibly be athletic (in reality, I played left bench on my high school softball team). Then I was inspired by the bad boy John Bender to throw on a flannel and a jean vest (wish I had me some finger-less gloves though, I think it'd made me look tougher, grrrr). The nerd Brian Johnson is where my backpack comes in. Got to be able to carry all my school supplies! The curled hair is a little resemblance of Miss popular Claire Standish. My only attempt to keep this look feminine. And well, as for the weirdo, Allison Reynolds, I think I can be just as weird as she is.
Threads: T-shirt with pizza faces (I forgot to photograph it for you!) borrowed from my roommate Dominique. Leather moto jacket from Macy's. Jean vest with DIY pins and studs from Forever21. Flannel borrowed from my other roommate Meredith. Backpack from Brandy & Melville. Jeans from Charlotte Russe. And last but not least, white Converses. I kind of feel like I look like I'm in high school, but that's what I get from pulling an outfit inspired by a bunch of high schoolers. OH WELL. IT'S COMFY.
