The Halloween Episode

Halloween came and went this year thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Luckily for me, I wasn't really effected by it in Brooklyn, but I haven't been to work all week because my office has been out of power. The hurricane had a lot more terrible effects than I had anticipated. My thoughts go out to those who were seriously effected by it.

On a lighter note, I was a fortune cookies this year for Halloween. I have a tendency to be something extremely asian every year. It's kind of a tradition for me. I always try to make my costume too so you bet your ass I made it this year. Super simple. All I did was get white fabric, cut out a pattern and sew them together to make a simple maxi/midi dress. Used a fabric marker to write on the fortune. Made a giant fortune cookie from velt, stuffed it with newspaper and sewed it on a headband. Got plastic vinyl and made a tote bag out of it. Permanent markers to write on the details of the wrapper and BAM, fortune cookie costume.

My best friends Nicole, Stephanie, and Erin threw this amazing Halloween party in which I wore that little number to. These girls are the modern day Martha Stuart. Made the place super cute and baked and cooked all the food.

Cute right?
